Founder & Director
Ana Tejeda
Music has been at the center of my life since childhood in Cuba, where I trained in classical violin and piano from the age of 7, and graduated as a professional performer and instructor. For more than 12 years, I have guided students of every age and level, from first-time beginners to advanced players.
No two students follow the same path. Every lesson is built around the student’s goals, favorite music and pace, pairing solid fundamentals in theory, reading and technique with repertoire they truly want to play.
Texas Avenue Studios is a small team of trusted music teachers bringing private lessons to homes across Houston. Every student gets a personalized plan, and every family becomes part of a lasting relationship with the studio.
Because connection is what keeps us motivated, every student has two recital opportunities every year: a real stage to share their progress, celebrate, and see what all that practice is for. That sense of belonging is what turns a weekly lesson into a lasting relationship with music.

Good to know
Common questions.
All ages and all levels, from the very first sounds to advanced repertoire. We start exactly where you are.
Yes. For piano, a full-size keyboard or piano is required. For other instruments, one sized properly for the student. Not sure what to get? Ask me before you buy or rent.
A quiet space for the lesson and a parent or guardian at home for students who are minors.
Once we meet for our first lesson, payment for the remaining lessons in the month will be due that day. Monthly tuition will be due on the 25th and covers all weekly lessons for the next month.
With 24 hours' notice or more, you receive a lesson credit to reschedule the lesson based on mutual availability. Same-day or last-minute cancellations are charged in full and don't qualify for a makeup lesson, since that time usually can’t go to another student. Exceptions may be made for illness, medical emergencies or other circumstances at the teacher’s discretion. If the teacher needs to cancel, a makeup lesson credit is automatically applied or, if the lesson can’t reasonably be scheduled, a credit for the missed lesson toward the next billing cycle.
Yes. Enrollment renews each month. Tuition is paid in advance and reserves your weekly slot. If you decide to withdraw, 30 days advance notice is required.
Lessons that fall on holidays or breaks will generally be taught depending on teacher and student availability, but extra flexibility is implemented. If traveling, let your teacher know with as much advance notice as posible so we can find the most convenient solution. Lessons can be canceled in advance or rescheduled.
Kind words
What families say.
Real notes from students and parents. Taking lessons with me? I’d love to hear from you too.
Ana has been wonderful for our daughters. They genuinely look forward to their piano lessons each week, which speaks volumes about the love of music she’s cultivating in them. She’s incredibly patient and sweet, and has a real gift for making the piano engaging and sparking their curiosity about music. We appreciate that Ana takes a few minutes after each lesson to walk us through what they covered. This quick recap helps us support their practice at home and reinforces what they’re learning. It’s clear she cares about their progress both during and beyond their lesson time. We’re so grateful to have found such a dedicated teacher who makes learning piano a joy for our girls.
